Step One of the new, advanced Proactiv+ system is the Skin Smoothing Exfoliator. This lush, cushiony wash redefines the concept of a daily cleanser because it also sets the stage for a smoother, more healthy-looking complexion. Glycolic acid works together with tiny exfoliating beads to gently yet effectively lift away dead skin cells, makeup, oils and other pore-clogging substances for an immediately brighter, smoother look and feel. At the same time, a mild concentration (2.5%) of prescription-quality micro-crystal benzoyl peroxide medicine begins to quickly kill acne-causing bacteria.
